5 Things To Do in Brilliant Brighton

Whether you’re a first time visitor or life-long resident, there’s always something new to experience in Brighton!

Here are just a few suggestions for things to see and do in the Brilliant Brighton area…

Take a Trip Down North Laine

An eclectic mix of independent boutiques and curiosities, as well as great cafes and delis; North Laine epitomises Brighton’s bohemian spirt. Don’t miss Snoopers Paradise on Kensington Gardens, where you’ll find bounty a-plenty that’ll nostalgically transport you back to yesteryear or Brighton institution Infinity Foods (where you can peruse the largest selection of organic vegetarian and vegan foods in the South East). On sunny days, enjoy alfresco eating and drinking Brighton style, as chairs spill out onto the streets for lazy afternoons absorbing the one of a kind Brighton atmosphere.

Wander Through The Lanes

No trip to Brighton would be complete without a visit to The Lanes.  Iconic alleyways of picture-perfect cobbled streets, filled with cafes, restaurants, quirky shops and exquisite jewellers, The Lanes – with all their history – never fail to make wanderers lose track of time – regardless of how many times they’ve stepped on the iconic cobbles.

Indulge!

Brighton most certainly is the city for indulging – and who could resist when there’s so much delicious food and drink on offer?!

Enjoy tucking into homemade cake at one of Brighton’s beloved coffee shops (like Cloud 9Bond Street Coffee, Infinity Café, Jolliffes, Little Bird, Scoop and Crumb, to name just a few) or treat yourself to sweet treats at Caramella, Candy, Roly’s Fudge, Gelato Gusto or Sweet Williams Fudge.

Or if you’re more of a savoury fan, tuck into tasty (and healthy) lunches or dine out in style in one of the city’s award-winning establishments, including 64 Degrees, Terre a Terre, Indian Summer and English’s of Brighton. The city boasts many family favourite restaurants too such as Bella Italia, Café Rouge and Gourmet Burger Kitchen, so there’s definitely something for all ages and taste-buds to enjoy.

Shop The High Street(s)

In Brighton, we don’t just have one street home to well-known names; we have three, plus Churchill Square shopping centre!

Head to East Street for famous brands such as Reiss, Cos, MAC, Jack Wills, French Connection, Hugo Boss, L’Occitane, Crabtree & Evelyn, Jigsaw and Paperchase.

Stroll up North Street to shop at Tiger, Boots, TK Maxx, Homesense, Superdry, The White Company and many more, plus pick up the perfect gift to take home at one of the many souvenir shops.

Then visit Western Road – a High Street fashionista’s delight with Primark, New Look, Select, H&M, Marks and Spencer, Ann Summers, Deichmann and more.  Best of all, if you start to flag, with such a great choice of coffee shops and lunch stops, there are plenty of options for a refuelling pit stop!

Dine on ‘Restaurant Street’

Preston Street, known locally as ‘Restaurant Street’ because of its 35 restaurants, bars and takeaway establishments, is the perfect place to dine, as there’s so much choice! Whether you fancy Greek food, Thai favourites, authentic Chinese delights, traditional Korean meals or fresh Japanese flavours, there really is something for everyone to feast on! And, as it’s just seconds from the seafront and the i360, it’s got a great holiday-vibe too.
