Brilliant Brighton Ambassadors save man’s life

Today, (29.6.18) our Brilliant Brighton city centre Ambassadors were called to an incident in North Street. A male had collapsed after having a cardiac arrest. The Ambassadors are trained to be first responders and using a defibrillator immediately began CPR.

Thankfully the individual was successfully resuscitated in time for the Ambulance’s arrival and he was taken to hospital for further checks.
Gavin Stewart, Brilliant Brighton CEO said, “I couldn’t be more proud of the team today. Thanks to their fast actions a life has been saved and I would like to publicly thank each and everyone of the team for their excellent work.”

The Brilliant Brighton Ambassadors work seven days a week to support city centre businesses and the wider community and are paid for by the contributions from the 517 businesses that make up the Brilliant Brighton Business Improvement District. They are fully trained in first aid and regularly receive additional training in everything from vulnerability issues to terror attacks.
