Meet AFOUR, the Four Kings of the Brighton Christmas Lights Switch-On

With members that have appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, The Voice and other favourite reality TV programmes, we’re really excited to have AFOUR performing their funny and festive song, Four Kings at the Christmas lights switch-on, next week!

Created just a few months ago (after performing together at a charity gig), AFOUR, consists of Steve Legge (part of a comedy dance act called Right Said Bruv who have appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, Come Dine With Me and more), Barry Elfod (who was on Storage Hunters UK), The Voice’s Marvin the Jazzman and Brighton local Andy Penfold – renowned Simon Cowell lookalike, who has also appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.

They penned Four Kings as a homage to all things traditionally associated with Christmas.

“We had a meeting about what type of song we were going to write,” they told us. “Steve and Barry got together and thought about bringing tradition back to a song. We were fed up of hearing re-releases by manufactured artists and decided to come up with this original christmassy sounding song.”

“We are so excited to perform at this year’s Brighton lights switch-on because it’s an amazing place for visitors and all four of us love coming here with our families. It’s just full of love, we LOVE Brighton!”

See AFOUR perform at Brighton’s Christmas lights switch-on 2017 in East Street, from 5pm on Thursday 16th November!
