Dreaming in Colour exhibition now on at Kellie Miller Arts
Don’t miss Kellie Miller Arts latest inspiring exhibition
Kellie Miller Arts invites you to an exhibition featuring the work of three international artists who balance concept, design and craft in their work in a nuanced way.
New Zealand artist Rachel Williams’s background in printmaking informs her paintings. She redefines painting by rarely using a brush, preferring to use mundane objects like cardboard, acetate, cloth and bubble wrap to make unique marks.
Mary Jones dynamic ceramic heads are constructed by embedded mosaic. The features captured are of those people she has encountered while travelling.
Clare Maria Wood’s depth of colour is influenced by the rhythms of nature. She starts her day with a walk, usually in a nearby woodland. She returns to her studio after intuitively collecting visual information and then expresses what she has seen and felt onto her canvases.
“In exploring the works of Williams, Jones and Wood, I hope you too will see the beauty of colour in this exhibition,” the gallery’s founder and curator, Kellie Miller explains
Dreaming in Colour runs every day (11am-6pm) until 23rd July 2018.
